Within each desktop workspace group, list conversations immediately after the loaded conversation that created them, indented one level. Descendants share that level and keep their catalog order. Conversations whose creator is outside the loaded group keep their place and can identify their creator in the tooltip.
Resolve creation roots with a cache and append siblings in place, keeping the work linear for long creation chains and large sibling groups. This adds no tree UI, extra catalog fetching or paging changes. The terminal browser keeps its current presentation. #6493 makes desktop Next/Previous use the same browser order.
Validation: existing nesting behavior tests, generated NSH/Host UI types, Biome and the notices snapshot check.

Claude Code authored the original change; OpenAI Codex reviewed it, removed quadratic ancestry/sibling work, synchronized the base and validated it.
