Maps + Models + Impact
I'm a geospatial data scientist and systems engineer with an interdisciplinary BS in Environmental Sustainability — Air, Water, & Health emphasis and minor in Geography / GIS with courses in Computer Science (U of U), and Master's in Urban Spatial Analytics (UPenn). Professionally, I have a background in fiber-optic network design in rural and suburban areas with field work. Currently, I work with Civilian Sciences agencies (USGS, DOI, DOT, etc.) at Esri to translate complex spatial problems into scalable technical solutions.
Academically, I had a variety of opportunities throughout my education in GeoAI, wet lab experience, biorepository work at the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and also machine learning applied to macro-spatial raster / vector datasets. In particular, I explored the nexus of high-performance software engineering, computer vision, and distributed cloud architectures with critical spatial equity and climate resilience challenges and integrate that socio-political-technical knowledge into my position.
- GeoAI and deep learning for environmental and urban systems.
- Spatial equity and critical cartography.
- Computer vision applied to satellite and street-level imagery.
- Data feminism and justice-oriented spatial data science.
Badges reflect my academic, casual, and professional stack.
