Round 3 of the security review, items 22 and 23.

  • phones.md, reverse proxy: forward only 443 and only to the proxy. Never forward an app's own port (8090 to 8093), because that serves it over plain http and skips the proxy. Turn off UPnP.
  • phones.md, Tailscale: turn on two-factor sign-in for the account behind Tailscale, remove lost or old devices from the machines page, and share the selfhostit machine with other people's accounts instead of inviting them into the tailnet.
  • synology.md: keep the apps' ports and DSM's own ports (5000, 5001) off the router, and leave QuickConnect off unless it's used. With a public address, forward only 443 to DSM's reverse proxy.

Generated by Claude Code

Say to forward only 443 to a reverse proxy, never an app's own port,
and to turn off UPnP. On a Synology, keep DSM's ports and QuickConnect
off the internet. For Tailscale, turn on two-factor sign-in, remove
lost devices, and share the machine instead of inviting people into
the tailnet.
