This PR brings main up to the tagged commit. It contains only that one generated commit, applied on top of the v24.0.0 commit.

Merge with "Create a merge commit" so the tagged commit stays an ancestor of main. Squash or rebase would rewrite it, and then 25.0.0 would no longer be on main.
