fix: prefab screenshots of UI parts leave out what masks and the root Canvas hide - #3399
uloop screenshot --prefab-path framed a UI-part prefab to the union of every active RectTransform, so content the game never shows still widened the image. In a real project, a 1920x1080 World Space Canvas root holding a larger card image came out at 3354x1903 with the Canvas content small in the middle; the project's own capture tool showed it at 1920x1080.
The frame now leaves out what uGUI hides.
Changes
A root that is itself an enabled World Space Canvas with a non-zero size bounds its content to its own rect.
The part of an element outside an enabled RectMask2D, or a Mask whose Graphic is active, is left out; an element wholly outside adds nothing.
A RectMask2D's clip moves by its padding as uGUI's Clipping does, so a negative padding keeps what it lets through. Softness is ignored.
Masks follow uGUI's reach rules (MaskUtilities, MaskableGraphic): a Graphic with maskable off, or one behind a sorting-override Canvas, keeps its full rect. A mask on the sorting-override Canvas object itself still clips.
Unchanged: a zero-sized root Canvas bounds nothing, and zero-sized rects that are not clipped away still count (the root's pivot stays in the union as before).
prefab-capture.md (source and generated copies) and the UI-part response message describe the new rule.
New tests fail on the base code where the behavior changes (6 of them), and the rest pin cases that must stay unclipped
Removing each new check (Graphic active, maskable, sorting-override on the element, sorting-override in between, RectMask2D enabled, RectMask2D padding, zero-size root guard) makes a test fail
Re-captured the reported prefab in the real project: 1920x1080, pixel-identical to the project's own capture tool. The other 9 prefabs captured before the fix are unchanged apart from run-to-run jitter already seen before the change
… Canvas hide
A UI-part prefab was framed to the union of every active RectTransform,
so content that the game never shows still widened the image. A World
Space Canvas root with a child image larger than the Canvas came out at
the child's size with the Canvas content small in the middle, and
overflow under a RectMask2D widened it too.
The frame now leaves out what uGUI hides: the part of each element
outside an enabled RectMask2D or a Mask with an active Graphic, and
anything outside a root that is itself a World Space Canvas with an
area. Masks follow uGUI's reach rules, so an unmaskable Graphic or one
behind a sorting-override Canvas keeps its full rect. A zero-sized root
Canvas does not bound anything, and zero-sized rects that are not
clipped away still count as before.
…t stops the mask
The existing sorting-override tests put the Canvas on the element itself
or on the mask object, so dropping the stop at an override Canvas in
between went unnoticed.
Prefab UI capture framing now uses visible UI bounds, applies root Canvas limits and active mask clipping, and respects maskability and sorting-override Canvas boundaries. Editor tests cover these cases. The screenshot skill references describe the clipping behavior.
Capture framing now uses a visible-area calculation and applies positive-size bounds from an enabled root Canvas. Tests cover enabled, zero-sized, and disabled Canvas roots.
Descendant bounds are clipped by applicable masks when uGUI maskability rules permit. Clipping stops at sorting-override Canvas boundaries. Tests and skill references cover the clipping behavior and exceptions.
hatayama/unity-cli-loop#3383: Adds the prefab screenshot framing and UI-part bounds calculation extended by this change.

Captures using rotated UI masks may frame clipped content incorrectly. The issue is narrow and can be fixed with a localized change.

The clip used the RectMask2D's rect as is, but uGUI moves the edges by
the padding, so a negative padding lets children draw past the rect.
The capture cut that part off; it now applies the padding the way
uGUI's Clipping does.

⚠️Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
Rewrite the overflow-clipping sentence.
The sentence Overflow that an enabled RectMask2D, or a Mask with a Graphic, clips is left out is grammatically unclear. Use a direct construction. Apply the fix here, then regenerate the .agents and .claude copies.
Suggested wording
-... Overflow that an enabled RectMask2D, or a Mask with a Graphic, clips is left out ...+... Overflow clipped by an enabled RectMask2D or by a Mask with a Graphic is left out ...

Base RectMask2D padding on rectMask.canvasRect.
WorldRectOf computes a world-space axis-aligned bounding box. uGUI's RectangularVertexClipper.GetCanvasRect instead uses the transformed corner 0 and corner 2 as the rectangle origin and extent. These rectangles differ for a rotated RectTransform, even though the wrapper Canvas has an identity transform. The padding arithmetic is the same, so VisibleUiArea can frame content differently from the active RectMask2D.
Suggested fix
- Rect rect = WorldRectOf((RectTransform)transform);+ Rect rect = rectMask.canvasRect;
