Gabriel Gripp

Staff Software Engineer building agentic platforms that change how engineering teams work, and instrumenting them so the effect shows up in numbers.

15+ years across fintech, edtech, e-commerce, mobility and media, on an IC → Tech Lead → Engineering Manager → IC path by choice. Currently Staff II at Arco, on AI Productivity, the team that owns engineering's internal tooling. Remote from the southern coast of Bahia, Brazil.

🛠️ Open source

Project What it is
flux The full agentic work cycle, idea to merge, without switching tools: refine, issue, build, review, iterate, land. Human at every gate. Plugin for Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Site
aitop A live, read-only TUI for AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, opencode): one card per session, real context and token readings, never a fabricated number. Go.
claude-atlas Audits a Claude Code setup: duplicate agents, colliding triggers, shadowed config, orphaned CLAUDE.md files. Python, pip install claude-atlas.
violeet A native macOS terminal for running several agents as tabs, with blocked permission requests answerable from the sidebar. Rust daemon + SwiftUI. Site

📈 What I'm proving at work

  • An orchestrator + specialists pattern per repository: a repo owner agent dispatches specialist auditors in parallel and synthesizes one report. 6 repos, 28 specialists.
  • An Agent Readiness Score that measures whether a repo is ready to receive agents.
  • Agent telemetry through OpenTelemetry → Postgres → Metabase. Over the last three months, 62% of my agent sessions ran unattended and estimated cost per session dropped 65%.
  • 290 pull requests across 15 repositories since May, 87% merged, almost half of them platform work consumed by other teams.

🎯 Stack

languages: TypeScript, Go, Python, Rust, Swift
agents: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, MCP, subagent orchestration
backend: Node.js, Go, gRPC
frontend: React, Next.js, Vue
infra: AWS, Docker, Cloudflare, Vercel
data: PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenTelemetry, Metabase

💭 How I work

RFCs, ADRs, observability, and code that doesn't need a rewrite six months later. Years as an Engineering Manager taught me to talk numbers with product and lead without authority; I bring that back into every cross-team proposal.
