Updates the Console monitoring, connect, and CLI docs for dagucloud/dagu#3287 and dagucloud/cloud#41:

  • Plan & features has one connect card, with an optional 14-day trial in the same approval.
  • A trial gets everything a plan's monitoring does, and owners get emails before it ends.
  • Dagu picks up a new trial when you return from Console, or on the server's next report.
  • A connect request waits an hour.
  • dagu license activate takes --report.

pnpm build passes, including the dead-link check.

Summary by cubic

Updates the Console monitoring, connect, and CLI docs for the new one-step connection flow. Connecting a server on Plan & features can now start the 14-day trial in the same approval, instead of as a separate step.

  • A trial gets everything a plan's monitoring does; workspace owners get an email three days before it ends and another when it ends.
  • Dagu picks up a new trial when you return from Dagu Console, at the server's next report, or at its next hourly check-in.
  • A connect request now waits up to an hour for approval.
  • dagu license activate now takes --report on Dagu v2.22 or later, with a prompted choice when the flag is absent.
  • Trial run history is now 30 days, matching Team and Pro; free monitoring stays at 7.

Written for commit a06fcc3. Summary will update on new commits.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Clarified that trial plans include 30 days of run history and step-level failures; free monitoring retains 7 days.
    • Added details about the 14-day trial, expiry notifications, license changes, approval timing, and returning to free monitoring.
    • Updated connection and alert-testing instructions, including starting a trial during or after setup.
    • Documented choosing a report level during CLI activation and how configuration affects that choice.

Plan & features now has one way to connect: the free monitoring card,
which can also start the 14-day trial in the same approval. A trial
gets everything a plan's monitoring does, owners hear before it ends,
Dagu picks up a new trial when you come back from Console, a request
waits an hour for approval, and `dagu license activate` takes
--report.

Operators may misunderstand how much trial failure history is available or which report level will take effect. These documentation discrepancies are bounded and do not prevent the server from operating, but should be corrected.

- `activate` without a key prints a Dagu Console URL and a short code, then waits up to 15 minutes for a workspace owner to approve this server. Open the URL in any browser; the license is saved once the request is approved. Press Ctrl-C to cancel. Without a terminal, for example in a script, it fails at once instead of waiting. See [Connect a Server](/overview/self-host-license#connect-a-server).

State that cloud.report overrides --report.

The companion monitoring documentation says cloud.report takes precedence. This description names both selectors without stating their priority. A user could pass --report errors while cloud.report: off remains effective. State the precedence here.

Align the trial lookback periods.

Line 36 still says trial failures are available for 14 days, while this line says 30 days. Update the server-page text to match the 30-day trial period, or explain why the views differ.
