I’m a product builder based in Hangzhou, a beautiful city in China’s Jiangnan region.

From 2018 to 2024, I worked as a developer in the blockchain industry before gradually moving into product design and project management. As AI continues to blur the line between technical and non-technical work, I’ve found that product builder best describes what I do today.

• I have strong opinions about products and a particular appreciation for thoughtful design and excellent user experiences. Popular acclaim alone doesn’t necessarily win me over.
• I believe meaningful products come from deep immersion. You need to live with a product long enough to uncover the pain points that truly matter.
• I’ve worked remotely since 2020 and plan to continue doing so. I’m disciplined about managing my time, prefer not to be driven by deadlines, and usually deliver ahead of schedule.
• I care deeply about details. Carelessness creates avoidable communication overhead, which I find especially draining.
• I’m not the stereotypical coder fascinated by obscure technical tricks. I value sound engineering, but I’m more energized by collaboration, product thinking, and moving projects forward.
• I’m a devoted football fan—especially of Liverpool FC.
• Outside work, I play badminton, swim, and practice Tai Chi. Tai Chi has been particularly helpful for the neck and lower-back pain familiar to many programmers.
