Prepare the stable 1.1.0 release from the merged hardware, portability/performance and documentation work. Update VERSION/current-version examples and move Unreleased changes into dated release notes; canonical schema v5 and v1 AI decoding remain supported.
Add a source packaging script and a Release workflow gated on successful trusted-main CI. It builds the exact tested commit with normalized executable/file modes, runs checks/smoke on the extracted archive, uploads draft archive/SHA-256 assets, verifies downloaded bytes, then publishes as latest. PR CI cannot publish, existing releases/tags are not replaced, and conflicting draft commits are rejected.
Validation: YAML/embedded shell syntax and documentation examples/links passed. All 31 regression scripts and all-profile smoke checks passed on the extracted package locally. Repeated builds matched; final archive version, 0755/0644 modes, executable collectors and quick archive run passed. Main CI and an additional extracted-package gate run before publication. Known optional BusyBox owner-probe limitations remain explicit in release notes.
This PR is the release preparation requested by the repository owner; after required CI passes it will be merged and the CI-gated Release workflow will publish v1.1.0 with both assets.
