alejorrojas/README.md
Alejo readme kanban. TO DO Measure and convey taste (2026). Explore how to measure taste and how to communicate it to an agent. This is hard even for humans. How do we know a painting is good? How do we express what we feel when we see one? Conveying that is already hard between people. How do we get an agent to understand it? Like Taste Labs (https://tastelabs.com/): make taste measurable, starting with design. Can agents run a business (2026). Models perform extremely well on short term tasks. Can they combine those small tasks and keep them going long enough to run a business? That takes long running work, coordination, and a memory of what already happened. As Andon Labs (https://andonlabs.com/) describes it: an AI run store, a café and a radio. IN PROGRESS Interpretability research (Oct 26). Trying to understand what happens inside LLMs. Problems: faithfulness, do explanations reflect what the model actually computes? Scaling feature discovery to frontier size models. Evaluating explanations without a human in the loop. Interpretability as a tool for alignment. Projects: NLASmith (https://nlasmith.com/paper), a framework for experimenting with Natural Language Autoencoders. More to come. Systems Engineering Degree (Dec 26). Finishing my Systems Engineering degree at UTN. DONE Work at a YC company (Jul 25). Shipped at Rebill (YC W22) (https://www.rebill.com): led the SDK behind one click checkouts and built PCI compliant infra. Contribute to open source (Oct 26). simpleble/simpleble (https://github.com/simpleble/simpleble): the new docs site (https://github.com/simpleble/simpleble/pull/439), MCP server + Agent Skills (https://github.com/simpleble/simpleble/pull/443), step by step getting started guide (https://github.com/simpleble/simpleble/pull/456), fix scan stop on Windows (https://github.com/simpleble/simpleble/pull/449), + 13 more (https://github.com/simpleble/simpleble/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Aalejorrojas). basementstudio/xmcp (https://github.com/basementstudio/xmcp): dynamic port allocation for HTTP transport (https://github.com/basementstudio/xmcp/pull/97). reactjs/react.dev (https://github.com/reactjs/react.dev): fix Server Components link text (https://github.com/reactjs/react.dev/pull/8026). microsoft/react-native-macos (https://github.com/microsoft/react-native-macos): fix Metro bundler startup docs (https://github.com/microsoft/react-native-macos/pull/2795). New readme view (Oct 26). Implement an original and hilarious readme view. Now the cards actually move between columns.
