Adds approval ballots from St Louis's 4 March 2025 primary: Mayor, Comptroller, and Alderman in Wards 3 and 11. Each contest selected two finalists for the subsequent general election.
The four CAT files preserve the observed approval sets and their exact frequencies, including empty sets. A separate CSV-formatted
.datfile gives approval-pattern counts by contest and precinct. It contains no individual ballot identifiers or cross-contest links. The archive contains 34,982 unique ballots; the contest electorates overlap. The two categories mean approved and not approved, without inferring rankings or motives.
Source: the city's Hart Verity cast vote record export, archived with my analysis. The contribution links to a commit-pinned public copy and supplies conversion scripts, checksums and reproduction instructions. All 13 candidate totals match the final official results.
Validation passed with PrefLib-Tools 2.0.33: exact XML-to-CAT agreement, precinct reconciliation, categorical sanity checks and the repository's
sanitychecks.pywith warnings escalated. Standardmetadata.csvwas generated using the repository's metadata script.I've used 00077 as the next available series number and left the publication date blank for maintainers to set. Please adjust the numbering or citation wording to fit PrefLib's conventions.
