A language, its compiler, its tools, an app and an operating system, all written in one language, on one phone.
I design J2K, a small systems language close to the CPU, and build everything around it from scratch: the compiler that builds itself, the tools, a terminal app for Android, and Jaric OS.
source (.jk) -> Jcmp (own assembler + ELF writer) -> native ARM64 program
no LLVM, no GCC, no ld, no libc
| what it is | |
|---|---|
| Jcmp | J2K and its self-hosting compiler: Linux ARM64 and ARM32, many cores, native GPU, libraries for C / Java / Python |
| Jcmp-Tools | the tools, each one program in J2K: shell, package manager, editor, build tool, git, music player, small AI, jaric-os |
| Jcmp-libs | libraries: game engine, OpenGL ES 3.1, Vulkan, compute, deflate, neural networks |
| Jaric-Engine | a small game engine for J2K on Android (terminal and GPU drawing) |
- Speed: output as fast as
clang -O2. - More targets: x86-64, then WebAssembly or Windows.
- Jaric OS with a real screen: portrait = phone mode, landscape = desktop mode; apps for graphics, video, light and sound.
