Summary

Remember the most recent recording area on its matching display when reopening the GPUI picker. Preserve capture coordinates across scale changes, fit the selection within the current display, and keep the existing aspect ratio and camera placement behavior. Screenshot selections continue to start fresh.

Validation

  • cargo fmt --all and scoped rustfmt --check
  • cargo check -p cap-desktop-gpui --locked --offline
  • 25 target overlay tests passed, including persistence, scale changes, display changes, invalid settings and screenshot behavior

Existing warnings remain in untouched code. The native capture UI was not exercised.

Superseded by #3515 (merged in 61aa568): the area picker now has a lock that keeps the area for its display and restores it the next time the picker opens.
