Fixed by pinning Lombok to a Java-25-compatible version that preserves the project’s custom Builder pattern. The failure was caused by Spring Boot 4.1.2 bringing in Lombok 1.18.48, which rejects the repo’s Commit: b6d44d1 |

@copilot did you review the Lombok change logs? https://projectlombok.org/changelog I would prefer to use the version of Lombok defined in the spring boot dependencies rather than pin to an older version. Look for an alternative solution that doesn't involve pinning the dependencies or changing the name of the builder. There is some reference to the super builder changing in the latest version of Lombok and that it is no longer experimental, maybe that is relevant. |
I checked the Lombok behavior against the project’s actual builder pattern, and the issue is not just a dependency pin: the repo intentionally exposes nested Spring Boot 4.1.2 brings Lombok 1.18.48, which rejects that configuration for So the minimal compatible fix is to keep the existing public API and use the last Java-25-compatible Lombok version for this codebase. The current patch does that with the retained Commit: b6d44d1 |
Fully qualify lombok.Builder so Lombok 1.18.48 can retain the public nested Builder class names. Remove the version override and use Spring Boot dependency management.
