[Chore]: Ignore .github/scripts from Sonar coverage #602

Closed

Description

@thomasturrell

What

Ignore files in .github/scripts/ when running Sonar coverage checks.

These files are repository maintenance scripts and should not be included in coverage metrics or quality gate calculations.

Why

  • .github/scripts/ contains repo chore automation and helper scripts, not production code.
  • Counting these files in coverage inflates noise and makes the coverage gate less meaningful.
  • This is a repository maintenance concern rather than application logic.

Notes

Requested change

Update the Sonar configuration to exclude .github/scripts/** from coverage analysis, while leaving application code coverage reporting unchanged.

Acceptance criteria

  • Sonar ignores files under .github/scripts/ for coverage.
  • Existing coverage checks for real application code remain unchanged.
  • This is scoped to repository hygiene and automation scripts only.
